i bought this cd when it first came out. a few years ago i broke the cd. bought it again from amazon and was listed limited edition but wasent.
The soundtrack packs one solid punch and is heavy on the metal, with the sounds of industrial/alternative metal/hard rock/hip-hop ripping through the mix.Pantera (Immortality Insane) has the standout of the 18 tracks, but the others are rumbling close by, with ICP & Twiztid (Dirt Ball) too hip just to hop.it pounds out a beat like a fullback taking aim at an undersized safety to bull his way into the end zone. Queens of the Stone Age (Infinity), Coal Chamber (Wishes) and Bauhaus (The Dog's a Vapor) show the variety of power from different angles. Billy Idol (the voice of Odin in the movie) even gets into the mood with Buried Alive.By raining down the thunder, this is a soundtrack the reigns supreme.
No complaints about the delivery time or price. It's just not as solid a soundtrack as the original is. But it's still entertaining.
(only available on this soundtrack) 6/10 Wishes - Coal Chamber- Once again, unreleased. 11/10 Green Iron Fist - Full Devil Jacket-Best metal track "Heavy Metal 2000" has to offer.
10/10 Immortality Insane - Pantera-If you're a collector of Pantera material this Soundtrack is a must have. 9/10 Silver Future - Monster Magnet- Great metal track with that psychedelic vibe, some of their better new material you're going to listen to.
Inless you feel like spending $50 on a cd, this is the only place you can find this track. One of my top 10 fav Pantera tracks and this is the only place you can find it.
4/10 Dirt Ball - Insane Clown Posse-I'm a juggalo at heart, truth be said the song's nothing to brag about but it's classic ICP/Twiztid.7/10 Storaged - System Of A Down- Reminiscence of their debut, short track (under 2 minutes) but an essential if you liked SOAD's original material. I'm a huge fan of their "Wax Box EP" and this track blows everything they've ever done out of the water.
Not their best work but not bad by any means. One of the best Metal soundtracks available, right up there with "The Crow", "Dracula 2000" & "Freddy vs Jason".
The HM2K Soundtrack is excellent - Whether your into Industrial/Grindcore metal, or a little Psychopathic Hiphop, it will have a song(s) for you. And the limited edition comes with an exclusive CD-ROM with all kinds of cool HM2K stuff on it. If you are a fan of the original movie and soundtrack, this is a definte buy, especially for collectors.
